"When systems lack energy, they grow rigid, competitive, authoritarian, hierarchical. When energy flows, cooperation becomes natural."

This passage reminded me of the authors insistence in "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars" on the importance of the publics understanding of energy.

""economics is only a social extension of a natural energy system" and that the goal of the elite is to control the "capacitance" (reserves) and "conductance" (flow) of this social energy."

Very interesting reading. I have been interested in Peat for a while but have not dove in yet.

An interesting read, thought provoking and the ideas resonate with me.
